The shots came from just beyond the hill--two shrills of laser-fire in rapid succession.

Ailish Sutherland's ears pricked up as she hoped the lack of follow-up fire meant that whatever had surprised her pursuers had killed them. As she listened for any further evidence of her assailants, she paused to catch her breath beneath the shelter of a tree's low-hanging branches.

She had been on the run for three days now.

Three days without food, little rest, and hardly any water. She had abandoned her pack, tossing it aside in hopes of throwing off her pursuers but to no avail.

Though her new body was very sturdy she did not want it. She wanted her old body, the body she had been born with, not this new, unfamiliar body.

"You okay over there, Marco?"a voice called and Ailish cursed under her breath.

"So much for resting."she muttered as she sprinted deeper into the forest...

Why didn't I post it as a deviation? Two reasons:

1)Someone might steal it. That's not a huge deal as most art thieves would rather steal visual art.
2)The biggest reason I don't post it as a deviation: No one will read it. Why go through all the trouble of posting it to distribute it to the masses if no one is going to read it?

If anyone is semi-interested and wants to know more about it, drop me a note and I'll tell you more. If I know that at least one person will read it, I'll make it a deviation over at my lit account.



I'm going to make a character turn-around sheet of Temo then I'm going to do one for Ailish (pronounced AY-lish).

No, this has nothing to do with my fanfic for the club I'm in. This is something original. And this is all I'm going to post on dA. I just wanted to show you guys that I write much better than I draw.

This is part of Temo's story.

I was trying to come up with an opener for the story with Malag'zar, Kel'olin, and Morwen but I couldn't think of a thing.

So I picked up my drawing of Temo, and a bit I had written a long time ago, and starting formulating a plot. This is the opening I came up with.

So what do you guys think?
